Gaming Again

Newgrounds constantly uploaded flash videos of different kinds and in 2007 we got a video called Rawest Forest, it’s been ten years and it’s still as great as it was back then. If you never played Super Mario RPG, it was an amazing game released at the end of the SNES’ life but it had a big impact on those who played it. It basically made RPGs be my favorite genre for many years. The music was also excellent and in particular you had one as you made your way through Geno’s Maze which is the background music of this video “Rawest Forest”.

Secret Movie

I haven’t really liked many of the more recent adult animation that has been out there or internet fan favorites like Adventure time so I was quick to dismiss this show as well but I decided to check out an episode and by the second one I was hooked. So I quickly watched everything but also found out that there were “extra” episodes and no real archive of them anywhere, so here is everything I found of extra or special Rick and Morty episodes to scratch our need for more.

You have deleted scenes, two “Mini episodes” which were improvised in a panel for the most part and later animated by fans, the Simpsons couch gag cross-over, some promotional commercials and videos, the Judge Morty: State of Georgia Vs Rick Allen SDCC comic-con special and the animated one, Puppet Rick and Morty answer IGN reader questions, CGI Morty, Steamboat Morty, fake Action Figure commercial, Adult Swim promos, Rick’s time in detention and the clay Gumby extras/ Specials. The great thing about this is they all include the voices and counting that there’s an infinite number of universes all of these shorts are technically in continuity with the show. I’m missing any please let me know

It can be hard to find music at times but no matter if it’s from a person who has bad musical taste, a suggestion on youtube and even a TV show, or in the case of some here a website, it’s important to continue to find new music. I’ve never been interested in Savage Dragon but I’ve pretty much checked out all other indie comics animated shows and he has crossed over with the TMNT a few times so why not check what this guy is all about through his 90s cartoon?

Forgotten Franchise

I always thought the Darkstalkers franchise looked awesome and it was something to check out. I never did play any of the games but those character designs really appealed to me as a kid. I’ve only ever played as characters in Marvel vs Capcom as I think most have counting that Capcom doesn’t seem to care about the franchise besides the few iconic characters. While the franchise seems to have been left in the attic it did have some notoriety since it didn’t get one animated interpretation but two; An Anime comprised of a 4 episode OVA and a 13 episode western cartoon of all things, so let’s rave it up and look back at these shows.

During the times of Web 1.0 having streaming video was sort of a privilege and not something very common you would find online but we did see the rise of flash which sort of gave us video in the early days. With it we got a few of the first internet memes on the internet, at least musical internet memes. Most of us have forgotten about them and some of us don’t know them so let’s take a look at some internet history.

Thanks to the awful translation in the Sega game Zero Wing we got one of the most popular gaming internet memes that is still referenced to this day. hell the website, all your base are belong to us is still active. Even if its nearly two decades old it somehow still feels fresh and the internet tried hard to make Engrish feel overdone, now Someone set us up the memes. Classic.
