Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Premiere Trailer Event

The Trailer for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom was released December 5th 2017 after it being long awaited by fans. Universal MX decided to hold an event for “The Biggest Jurassic Park Fans” and it seems they were good at finding them since I was able to get an invitation to the event for the premiere of the trailer for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.

What I found odd is that they would hold an event just for a trailer for a movie, it felt a bit silly to have to drive to the specific cinema just to watch a 2 minute trailer that would be online only an hour or two later anyway. I did not think too much about it since it was Jurassic Park and confirmed that I was going, it’s not any day I get to go to an event for one of my favorite franchises and I would at least get to see the trailer on the big screen and maybe some bonuses.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom; was it a good title? Dominion?

We now know Jurassic World 3 is Dominion, but let’s take a look at the second movie’s name in the World series. We had speculated what the fifth Jurassic Park movie was going to be called for a long time with names like Jurassic Park 5, Jurassic World 2, Jurassic War, Jurassic _____, Epoch, Ancient Futures and we finally got the name alongside the new poster which was Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. But is it a good title?

If we take a look at the history of the film franchise we can see that Jurassic Park has never had any consistency in the titles. As a kid I was always bothered by The Lost World: Jurassic Park as I wanted the title to be Jurassic Park: The Lost World. Of course back then I didn’t know that the book sequel didn’t even include the Jurassic Park moniker and only went for the generic The Lost World title. Then we had Jurassic Park 3 which got rid of the subtitles and went with the three claw marks ///. Jurassic World was once again the name of park in the movie even if it did drop Park from the franchises name. And with Fallen Kingdom we can see that the only logic recurring theme is the inconsistency.

Looking back on..

Mokèlé-mbèmbé the Cryptoid Loch Ness Monster from Africa that is supposed to exist is not that famous but has always made my imagination run wild. I was able to find two movies that dealt with this creature from the Congo that were released nearly 30 years apart but not quite like a clean release gap like with Dinosaur Island. So let’s take a quick look at them and see if they’re worth your time if you want some dinosaur movie action.

We have two movies called Dinosaur Island and they were released exactly 20 years apart, both were lower budget films with a limited release but since there really aren’t that many dinosaur movies out there, let’s take a look at how they are and if either of them is worth watching and just how much those two decades changed brought us two very different films.

We all wanted a new Jurassic Park movie after the original but it wouldn’t be until four years later that we got The Lost World which ended up being a whole lot different than what we expected the sequel to be. Luckily we did get the version we wanted to expected with Jurassic Park part 2 // : The Chaos Continues on the SNES released a year after the original movie.
