Layton World Puzzles Upper Case S – T – U

Professor Layton’s live online game of “real” puzzles called Layton’s Mystery Journey: Real World Puzzle Solving or Layton World for short launched to help promote Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy is now online. As this is a timed based web based game the puzzles will eventually get lost to time; so here we will have an archive of the puzzles as well as hints and solutions for those stuck in any specific puzzle. The puzzles are not that difficult so I would suggest only looking at the answer if you’re completely stumped. Here we will take a look at Puzzles S – T – U.

Let’s take a look at the fourteenth set of puzzles, for the previous ones click here. Read hints separately and only use the next hint if you still can’t solve it and check your answer by highlighting to read the spoilers. To re-create the Translaytion feature I pasted some of the most useful, interesting or amusing advice found there.

S) A Window Puzzle

This puzzle took us to Frankfurt in Germany.

Hint 1: Look at the blocks on the windows and take away what you find. ‘COLOR’ isn’t in there, but something similar is.

Hint 2: If ‘COLOR’ equals ‘GREEN’ you can take it away.

Hint 3: FRUIT’ is ‘APPLE’, ‘ANIMAL’ is ‘RABBIT’, and ‘NUMBER’ is ‘TWELVE” Read the remaining letters.

“Read the remaining letters in the window” Oh I haven’t solved it yet, will do that after work ^^
It got rained, the battery runs out, and there are jobs, but thanks for raising the image at precious lunch break, I just thank you. Besides, I have not solved myself yet , Saitho, Are you an angel?

T) A Place Name Puzzle

For this puzzle we need to use google maps but it also has to be in Spanish to correctly answer the puzzle:

Hint 1: Those are long numbers. They represent something, but the puzzle can’t be solved just by looking at them. Try searching for them on the Internet.

Hint 2: The numbers are coordinates. Put them in Google Maps.

Hint 3: When you enter the coordinates, a place name appears on the center of the map. Pick out letters from that place name.

Coordinates at this time?
The site has a Spanish name and the first word is Park.
For those with troublesome coordinates
Don’t forget to keep the whole name in Spanish

U) A Puzzle in Time

This Puzzle took us to England and to the Big Ben.

Hint 1: The top clocks read ’11:27′ and ’11:14.’ The bottom clocks read ’08:08′ and ’03:11.’

Hint 2: Think why the top clocks might be flipped. You might have to change the time numbers into something.

Hint 3: If you change the clock times to digital display, you should be able to solve the puzzle.
