In today’s episode of the podcast I talk about the new Power Rangers movie and the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Mega Battle game.
Angela has been making a splash in the Marvel Universe as Thor’s sister and in Guardians of the Galaxy but she began as a character on Todd McFarlane’s Spawn but a legal battle over ownership by Neil Gaiman since he created her ended up in him keeping the rights to her and being able to take her wherever he wanted. She will likely never be in a new Spawn comic or media ever gain which is terrible since that incarnation of her is far more interesting and appealing.

The Simpsons debut a new couch gag featuring Robot chicken, this isn’t the first Adult Swim show couch gag or even the first Robot Chicken inspired couch gag but both of them are still great and a nice nod after The Simpsons making plenty of appearances on Robot Chicken.

The show originally began as Superstars of Wrestling in 1986 and dealt with interviews and title changes but ten years later in 1996 it changed formats and that’s what I’ll be talking about since there just isn’t any information out there and even the wikipedia page is erroneous with some of the information about the change.
The Cookie Monster has always been my favorite muppet and he became an inspiration for me and my current unhealthy love for cookies. I’m not the biggest Family Guy fan but when I saw them interpret the Cookie Monster as an addict it was just fantastic and one of my favorite parodies which is why it’s important to have a page that compiles them all. Sadly not all of them deal with him being a cookie junkie so the other ones just feature him.

As you know The Legend of Zelda CDi games has given us many things..from the first voice acting, continuing the Zelda II Adventure of Link gameplay to countless youtube parodies. Now those infamous custscenes have really outlived their original purpose with everything that’s been done about them but I unironically like the cutscenes in their original form and always have even when finding said clips was difficult to do on the net.

What makes these so interesting to me is that it was one of the first times we saw the world of Zelda a little more fleshed out. Like the The Legend of Zelda cartoon it uses elements from fantasy that fit very well since the games were still rather basic at that point. In fact the game seems to be inspired by the Zelda cartoon in its tone even if it doesn’t really fit with it. The Arabian nights look of the games is just great and gives Zelda a rather nice character design, easily the only good one in the two games.
