Custom Characters to try to recreate in Sonic Forces

Custom Characters to try to recreate in Sonic Forces
Gaming Again

Sonic Forces has a custom character feature which caused all the furries and Sonic fandom yiffed and “hardcore” gamers all called for the Sonic Cycle to start all over. I actually though it’s a neat idea and you just have to ignore the collateral damage for this feature being implemented. Now, I think for most of us we’ll just have fun with it and move on with our lives, but with the thousands of ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL out there, what are some of the most wanted Custom characters for Sonic Forces?

I must admit that even though I”m a fairly big Sonic fan who has watched all the Sonic cartoons just because but I’m not as up to date with more modern characters and I never read the Archie Sonic comics besides an issue or two which has most of the fandom ended up attaching too and gave the rise to the NAME + The Hedgehog meme that exists and likely inspired this game but I’m pretty sure this list should satisfy most.

Inspector Gadget Cartoon intros / Openings Collection
Video Classic

Inspector Gadget is one of those weird franchises that has quietly had a few shows through out the decades without anyone really noticing them, in fact a lot of these shows I didn’t even know existed. Let’s take a loot at the theme songs of all these shows, since we know that the original show had the now classic opening theme and see if any of the future shows were able to match it.

Music Match Monday Volume 1 – Music Video Reviews: Lorn Woodkid, Sleep Party People
Music Match

What is a Rave without music? Now MiscRave has always featured music whether from shows, to tributes or album reviews which contained music video reviews and even just random music video reviews. But I’ve recently realized that even though I stopped watching music videos for years that they didn’t become any less relevant, there are still tons of great music videos hidden there. So why not share some forgotten or looked over ones? Those are exactly my feelings which is why Music Match Monday’s will be a thing as long as there is music I would like to share or music videos that need to be watched. Named in honor of one of my first media players on my computer, here are today’s three must watch/listen.

Woodkid – run boy run

If someone ever wanted to write a song about Mighty Max then this would be it The lyrics about a boy running and looking ahead fit perfectly with Mighty Max’s story of him having to escape the dreaded Doom Zones. The fact that the music video seems like the closest thing we’ll ever get to a live action Mighty Max movie is the icing on the cake. You see a boy escaping this building and then being chased by various creatures from bats to yeti like creatures and giant rock monsters. It was shot in black and white which makes the whole mood fit even better. Fantastic song and video, once you see the horned yetis jump out you’ll be watching this one for days.

Pokemon Banned Episodes Kanto Indigo League Season 1

Pokemon Banned Episodes Kanto Indigo League Season 1
Looking back on..

The Pokemon anime started as a very Japanese show so even if it was a rather tame anime it still had to be edited quite a bit for American audiences and because of distribution rights to the rest of the world. In the first season now known as the Indigo League season or “gen 1 / Kanto” to others there were 3 episodes that were banned for various reasons. Most of us knew about them since it was very well documented online and even in magazines. Now since then there have been a few other episodes that have been skipped and even some from season 1 but let’s just take a look at the original 3 episodes that were skipped and yet apparently were dubbed as well, who knows if that’s true. So whether you’re here to see the original Pokemon beach episode, have Ash be threatened by a gun or just have a seizure with porygon, Let’s begin.

The Jumanji Cartoon is the best interpretation of the franchise

The Jumanji Cartoon is the best interpretation of the franchise
Looking back on..

Jumanji was a movie that I absolutely loved as a kid and could not get enough of it, the ending made me want to watch a sequel which I guess we eventually got with either Zathura or Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle but a little late in the timing for me. However the original Jumanji movie did get an animated tv show that while I didn’t really get to watch as a kid I did know about it and it did end up lasting three seasons and amounting to a 40 episodes. So, how was this Jumanji series?

This show reminded me a lot of the Beetlejuice cartoon with the travelling to the world instead of the world coming out like it was in their respective movies. The cartoon is set in a different continuity from the movie but it works with mostly the same rules of the game; It’s actually set up in a perfect way that it makes a show out of the movie idea and it never feels like it wasn’t meant to be a show, great way of changing the premise without altering the basics.

The Problem with Duolingo to learn another language

The Problem with Duolingo to learn another language
The problem with..

Can you really learn foreign language from an app? I should point out that I was a language teacher for more than a few years, I’ve been bilingual my whole life and I’m trying to learn a new language. But back on topic..  A few years ago when I began to take French classes again I discovered Duolingo . Back then the app was still fairly new and it wasn’t as well known as it has become over he past few years. I really enjoyed the app but every time I started I would eventually stop using it until recently that I’ve been able to keep it a habit. Part of why I couldn’t stick with it was I hadn’t made a habit out of it.  So let’s analyze duolingo and see the problems with it.

If you don’t know, Duolingo is an app that tries to teach you a foreign language and it does this by having a series of exercises that you must complete on different topics. You make a placement “test” in the beginning that judges were you should start in their academic “pyramid/tree”. The app promotes itself as being able to learn with only a few minutes a day and you can set your daily learning goal so you only have to do one exercise or up to 5. Of course you can practice as much as you’d like but the limits are to remind you to practice at least that amount every day. This works fairly well in the beginning since Duo the owl keeps reminding you every day unless you stop using it for a few days in which Duo decides to throw the towel on you until you open the app again. This is actually a nice feature but it’s a reason of why it’s dangerous to keep your “streak” going and not make a habit of ignoring your daily routine. Having a streak of practicing is one of the motivations to continue using it since there isn’t much more in the app, they know this since they offer to keep your streak if you pay them a certain amount if you miss a day or two.
