Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is generic & forgettable

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is generic & forgettable
Looking back on..

As I’ve mentioned a few times I have a problem with the Star Wars spin-offs and it being annualized. But I enjoyed a lot of things about the film even if there are too many “Why?”s for me to actually say I liked it. As much as I did not like The Force Awakens I think Episode VII is a better movie even if this movie has far less things that annoy me if that makes any sense. Going in I had accidentally read a few spoilers but of stuff I already knew or suspected was going to happen so it didn’t affect me a lot.

Star Wars “X-Wing” & “Dark Forces” better than Rogue One Secret Movie..
Secret Movie

The first Star Wars spin-off Rouge one may have has us a movie about getting the plans of the death star, but before Disney bought Lucasfilm this is something we had already known about, the status of these events are now uncertain but I’m sure there won’t be that many conflicts on them or at last none that can’t be explained away somehow. But it’s interesting to take a look at these early looks of how the events were explained and in “movie” form because these are the cutscenes / FMV of the games where these events took place so here we take a look at these two Star Wars “movies” you never saw.

Disney’s Epcot has a Death Star and it killed Star Wars with it

Video Classic

Even before Disney ever owned Star Wars they had a section of their park dedicated to it and they would perform various fun movie inspired skits.

This time for Rogue One they used Epcot’s Spaceship Earth and with some clever lights they turend it into the Death Star to coincide with the spin-off film Rogue One which I talked about here. It works out pretty well and it’s a fun watch.

The Problem With.. Annual Star Wars and Spin-Offs
The problem with..

When Disney bought Lucasfilm it was a huge deal and we were all excited we were getting new Star Wars movies however our thoughts on this quickly changed as we saw more and more movies confirmed and Star Wars becoming an annual series with new installments every month. We all love Star Wars so what’s wrong with having a movie every year? It’s any fan’s dream come true. But this is where the problem lies and I’m not too optimistic about the franchise’s future if thing continue for the following reasons.

Crisis on infinite Continuity, The problem with..

So as I started with Marvel and DC but now let’s go over the other Cinematic Universes currently in development. As I mentioned before the concept of a Shared Universe is nothing new however it’s become popular thanks to the way Marvel Studios had hit after hit in their Cinematic Universe. I won’t look at the history of shared universes as that would likely mean going back to Homer’s The Iliad and Odyssey but we’ll at least give a brief glimpse as we see the new Cinematic Universes previous history in a shared Universe.
