In the early days of Nintendo you used to see a lot more licensing of their stuff thanks to Nintendo of America who knew it was a great idea to have your brand in different places but that liberty NOA had was taken away by Nintendo Co. LTD in japan and they decided to be much more conservative with their use of their Intellectual Property. Nowadays Nintendo is more willing to license their stuff and we’ll see mSore and more in the coming years but let’s take a look back on the first three Super Mario Bros Cartoons that the late 80s and early 90s gave to us.

I was a small child who loved dinosaurs and somehow I saw this show about robot dinosaurs on TV and instantly fell in love. This was in the early days of Power Rangers so it still wasn’t the huge fad it became a few months later but I was already hooked so let’s take a look back at the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Shia Labeaouf seems to be a somewhat polarizing figure but I’m rather indifferent besides being teased as a kid that I looked like him. He seems to have his alternative projects going on for the moment but let’s go back to simpler times and we were just kids watching Even Stevens and how it is.
Hard to believe it’s been ten years but it was Macworld 2007 and Apple had been teasing that they were going to make an announcement that would be revolutionary. By this point the iphone had been rumored and making the round in various sites and constantly making the front page of Digg. So why don’t we take a look back and see this impressive keynote Steve Jobs gave a decade ago.
As rumors started popping up about Apple making a cell phone I remember not being impressed as I had no need of an ipod and a phone in one as I already had both and it wasn’t a problem at all since phones with internet weren’t something new exactly either. While I didn’t get the appeal of it at first that quickly changed throughout the year as hackers started putting different programs which became known as “apps”, that’s right the first iphone didn’t have the app store, that launched one year later but that was the time I saw that this was a game changer and I was in line once the second iphone released. But let’s take a look at the presentation that changed the world.

In the mid 2000’s the BBC had a documentary on the hit game Tetris that shows us most of its early history from its creation to its early life. That may not sound as the most appealing thing to watch and you might think that it’s boring but that couldn’t be further from truth as what we have here is an extremely fascinating story that ranges from console wars to the cold war.

As I’ve mentioned a few times I have a problem with the Star Wars spin-offs and it being annualized. But I enjoyed a lot of things about the film even if there are too many “Why?”s for me to actually say I liked it. As much as I did not like The Force Awakens I think Episode VII is a better movie even if this movie has far less things that annoy me if that makes any sense. Going in I had accidentally read a few spoilers but of stuff I already knew or suspected was going to happen so it didn’t affect me a lot.

I remember seeing The New Adventures of Captain S advertised on Screwattack as I went there to watch the Angry Video Game Nerd and thinking it was stupid but it wasn’t until a few years later that I was curious and checked it out and was pleasently surprised, it’s hard to describe what this show actually is but I’ll give it a shot.
