System of a Down – SOAD self-titled album Listen Back review

I had just begun 7th grade when I was talking about music with a friend and back then I didn’t have a wide variety in my taste in music but each of us mentioned “one” was a great album, the one he mentioned was System of A Down’s self-titled album. We each lent each other an album and began to listen. I don’t really remember what I thought about it when I first heard it, I didn’t love it but I remember listening to it many times so I’m guessing I didn’t hate it either. I used to listen to it a few times while making Pokemon Decks for the Pokemon league on friday nights. Funnily enough I don’t remember thinking it was a particularly heavy album and this was one of my first exposures to metal. My friend eventually moved without warning so he never gave me back my album and I got to keep this one, my only problem when I was older is that it was an edited CD and the only edited version of the CD that I ever owned.

Connectivity, a simple word that caused gamers to shiver upon hearing in the early 2000’s when Nintendo decided it would focus on connecting instead of online gaming. Viewed skeptically since it was announced and never quite took off. But was it really that bad or did gamers miss out on what could have been one something innovative tool in gaming?

It can be annoying when you visit a site and don’t know when they’ll be updated so here’s how we’ll be doing things here, I’m trying to get to the habit of having new content everyday but that may not happen until after Christmas but after that you can count on some type of post every day. In the meantime I’ll try to have around 3 updates a week or so and that’s what I’ve been trying to do but I’ve failed to do so a on more than one week. The Nightmare before Christmas is a movie that never got a sequel, apparently Tim Burton who created the idea shut down a proposed CG sequel in the early 2000’s but did it really not get a sequel? As I mentioned in my Nightmare Revisited review the franchise got sort of a revival in popularity in the mid 00’s thanks to Hot Topic selling merchandise but we didn’t just get t-shirts and beanies we also ended up getting what is essentially the closest thing we have to a sequel and that’s a video game sequel which picks up a year after the original film.

One day I”m cleaning the garage and I find my old The Nightmare Before Christmas Burger King watch I got as a child, I was in High School now and I needed a watch and I thought it was perfect and it was since many seemed to like it. It was only about a year later that the nightmare before christmas nostalgia hit and we had tons of new merchandise everywhere and now everyone had TNBC related stuff and it wasn’t as much fun wearing my Burger King watch.

Making Godzilla Scary Again

I was seldom excited about the new Toho Godzilla film when it was announced last December; I mean we already had a Godzilla movie recently and even with this one coming from Japan but then I saw the trailer 6 months ago which changed my mind. I had already seen the Godzilla design from the leaks and I used to have mixed feelings about it but after watching the first teaser trailer I was sold.
