A video classic is a video that remained on my mind for whatever reason or maybe a new video I really enjoyed.

Remembering WWF Raw is War 1999

Remembering WWF Raw is War 1999

Last week I talked about WWF Smackdown!’s intro and general memories so I thought this week I’d do the same for WWF Raw is War.

I started watching Raw is War in 1999 and there was nothing like it and I was glued to it every Monday night. I remember that the show finished after my normal bedtime which was 10 but Raw always finished at odd times like 10:05 or 10:08 more or less and I used to feel like I was doing something bad by staying up so late. But I had to, How else would I know if a bloodied Stone Cold would get his revenge after they interfered in his WWF title match which just happened to have happened at exactly at 10:00. Those last few minutes were necessary to get a much needed conclusion to the events we’d just seen.

The True Warrior Enters The Arena With All His Powers At The Ready

Like most I loved Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie and when I saw there was a movie based on Street Fighter Alpha I was as excited as you could get. I would go on Manga Entertainment’s website and play the trailer for the movie on the crappy RealMedia player over and over.

The trailer made it seem like it was awesome and dealt with Akuma and his fall from grace. The actual movie had nothing to do with that but that doesn’t stop the trailer from being awesome to this day. We did eventually get Street Fighter Alpha Generations many years later that dealt with Akuma. Which was made for the American market and didn’t release in Japan until much later as an extra. That movie was pretty bad on its own right but if you realize the whole reason that movie was made was because of the demand in the west for an Akuma movie…this means that the trailer that Manga Entertainment did for Street Fighter Alpha The Movie was the sole reason this movie was made as fans felt cheated by the acutal product. Now isn’t that something.

Undertaker returns at Judgement Day 2000

“As I lay me down to sleep;

I pray my soul is mine to keep.

And never step outside this bed, never

Into all the evil, Now back from the dead.”

The Undertaker left WWF television in the fall of 1999 because of an injury or “in show” explanation of he didn’t want to follow rules so he left. I hadn’t been a fan of The Undertaker at that point and didn’t understand why anyone liked him or why people kept asking for “Taker” to return.

Spawn’s Angela Tribute (Marvel, Neil Gaiman) Video

Angela has been making a splash in the Marvel Universe as Thor’s sister and in Guardians of the Galaxy but she began as a character on Todd McFarlane’s Spawn but a legal battle over ownership by Neil Gaiman since he created her ended up in him keeping the rights to her and being able to take her wherever he wanted. She will likely never be in a new Spawn comic or media ever gain which is terrible since that incarnation of her is far more interesting and appealing.

The Simpsons debut a new couch gag featuring Robot chicken, this isn’t the first Adult Swim show couch gag or even the first Robot Chicken inspired couch gag but both of them are still great and a nice nod after The Simpsons making plenty of appearances on Robot Chicken.

Cookie Monster is an addict and needs help

The Cookie Monster has always been my favorite muppet and he became an inspiration for me and my current unhealthy love for cookies. I’m not the biggest Family Guy fan but when I saw them interpret the Cookie Monster as an addict it was just fantastic and one of my favorite parodies which is why it’s important to have a page that compiles them all. Sadly not all of them deal with him being a cookie junkie so the other ones just feature him.

#Pokemon20: Pokémon Super Bowl Commercial

For Pokemon’s 20th anniversary it was decided that an ad on the Superbowl was a good idea. The ad was very vague and seemed like an odd decision for The Pokemon Company to have taken it. Now it seems like it was the perfect decision as Pokemon Go became a huge fad that same summer and in the fall Pokemon Sun and Moon ended up becoming one of the best sold games in the series. Let’s take a look at it again:
