Professor Layton’s live online game of “real” puzzles called Layton’s Mystery Journey: Real World Puzzle Solving or Layton World for short launched to help promote Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy is now online. As this is a timed based web based game the puzzles will eventually get lost to time; so here we will have an archive of the puzzles as well as hints and solutions for those stuck in any specific puzzle. The puzzles are not that difficult so I would suggest only looking at the answer if you’re completely stumped. Here we will take a look at upper case Puzzles M – N – O.
Let’s take a look at the twelfth set of puzzles, for the previous ones click here. Read hints separately and only use the next hint if you still can’t solve it and check your answer by highlighting to read the spoilers. To re-create the Translaytion feature I pasted some of the most useful, interesting or amusing advice found there.
M) A Puzzling SOS
The first puzzle takes us to a tourist shrine in Japan, nice temple!
Hint 1: TRE equals THREE and SEP equals SHEEP.
Hint 2: It looks like the arrow adds an ‘H’ and an ‘E’.
Hint 3: Adding an H and E to the question words seems to turn them into different English words.

I arrived at the place of the photo, I will wait.
Layton fans who gathered in the field + people from the question staffs to talk a lot about the series, it was fun Thank you very much!
What is the spelling of 3? Something is missing!

N) A Pile-on Puzzle
This puzzle was in Toronto, Canada at Casa – Roma.
Hint 1: It looks like each of the overlaid shapes represents a single letter.
Hint 2: Look at each shape separately: YOGA and CATS have ‘A’. NICE and HORN have ‘N’.
Hint 3: YOGA and CATS share ‘A’. NICE and HORN share ‘N’. BELT and CATS share ‘T’.
Translaytion:
I’ll be there! Look for a Layton!
The Layton representative was very nice (and very good looking). Thank you Mark for helping us!!
I do not fully understand this time
Thank you for the photograph. The problem was a mystery which was a little too simple.
Answer to the puzzle (Highlight to see):

O) The Mysterious T-shirt
We go to a Rental store in Japan for this puzzle.
Hint 1: On the front is a BASKETBALL, and on the back is ‘KT.’
Hint 2: The word ‘BASKETBALL’ has ‘KT’ in it.
Hint 3: Follow the instructions using the letters on the back for the word on the front. You should find another word.
Translaytion:
You still have video rental stores in Japan? Wow! Those kinds of stores are endangered in the U.S.A.
If you are in the US you can rent online, but most shops sell magazines and books too. Store near the house is almost a bookstore.
In Japanese it is “mystery of a clerk”, so maybe the problem is written on the T shirt that the clerk wears?
On Google and TSUTAYA Sapporo West Exit Twitter the photo is old, it was uneasy because the exhaust port and wiring position is different but it is safe if it is the latest image. Have you done a light construction in recent years?
