Jingle All the Way was one of my favorite christmas movies I saw as a kid and even as I grew up I continued to like it. I was shocked to find later on that the general consensus was that it was a terrible movie since to me it had always been very clever and an over the top yet accurate picture of what happens during this season. Over the years the general consensus has changed and now I can say opinions are more divided about the movie with them leaning towards it being good. I guess kids who loved the movie just grew up and were able to defend the movie they love. But I’m not here to talk about the Arnold Schwarzenegger film with future Anakin Skywalker Jake Lloyd but of Turbo Man the superhero that becomes the toy of the year.

When Reggie Fils-Aime went on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show to show off Super Mario Run and the Nintendo Switch he also brought in Miyamoto. As some of you know Shigeru Miyamoto loves music hence why he made the much hated Wii Music game but it’s really one of his passions probably more than video games so here we see him palying the Super Mario Bros. theme with The Roots which is nice.

Even before Disney ever owned Star Wars they had a section of their park dedicated to it and they would perform various fun movie inspired skits.
This time for Rogue One they used Epcot’s Spaceship Earth and with some clever lights they turend it into the Death Star to coincide with the spin-off film Rogue One which I talked about here. It works out pretty well and it’s a fun watch.

Like most I like to think of Stan Lee as this nice old grandpa type character even if we know he was not such a nice guy in the past. I’m also a fan of Rob Liefeld’s and Todd McFarlane’s work since I enjoy comics in the 90s even if they’re mostly made fun of now for being too extreme.
This video from the 90s is awesome, I guess it’s a 20 minute tv show where they draw and this 3 minute clip takes all the instances of Stan Lee dissing both these artists for how ridiculous it is and I don’t think it was mean spirited, it just seems that way because of the edits but fun jabs as these two were very famous around the era this show was made. McFarlane even seems to be enjoying getting shade thrown at him for what he was doing. Nevertheless it’s a very fun video worth a watch regardless of your opinion of any of these artists.

I remember seeing The New Adventures of Captain S advertised on Screwattack as I went there to watch the Angry Video Game Nerd and thinking it was stupid but it wasn’t until a few years later that I was curious and checked it out and was pleasently surprised, it’s hard to describe what this show actually is but I’ll give it a shot.

When Disney bought Lucasfilm it was a huge deal and we were all excited we were getting new Star Wars movies however our thoughts on this quickly changed as we saw more and more movies confirmed and Star Wars becoming an annual series with new installments every month. We all love Star Wars so what’s wrong with having a movie every year? It’s any fan’s dream come true. But this is where the problem lies and I’m not too optimistic about the franchise’s future if thing continue for the following reasons.
