I was so tired of Hybrid Theory by the time Reanimation came out that just having remixes to old songs wasn’t going to do it for me. It didn’t help that I didn’t like much of the remixes nor the new found fame that Linkin Park had done since the original album. It wouldn’t be until Meteora that we got some new stuff but I decided to finally give it a chance.
Apparently music videos were made by MTV:Playback for Linkin Park’s Reanimation album more than just the one music video or other ones that are now considered official, but he’re we’ll take a look at all of them. intro some recognized some aren’t
Opening, has vibes of meteora album, hell even the dream intro, that’s neat a great way to start the album. I remember hating “Pts.OF.Athrty” (featuring Jay Gordon), especially since that song already hasd a music video. looking back the CG is rather impressive for the time it came out. It’s like a fun video game sci-fi story as well which is a fantastic video. It’s something out of War Planets: Shadow Raiders. I don’t care much for the remix bu it’s a bit more happening I guess even if it doesn’t hit as hard so it does a good job.
Enth E Nd” (featuring KutMasta Kurt and Motion Man takes a song I learned to despise because of how overplayed it was, this remix feels refreshing since it emphasizes aspects you don’t hear in the song normally. The music video is rather refreshing, I really like it with the whole security camera recordings and since it features the band is considered a semi official video as well.
Chali is only a transitional sound byte before Frgt/10″ (featuring Alchemist and Chali 2 and I quite like it, the music video is also quite original and experimental with vibes from the cover album no wonder it’s still officially recognized. “P5hng Me A*wy” (featuring Stephen Richards) has horror movie vibes in the video which is not to my liking but different, dark. The actual song takes some interesting aspects
Mie Hæd” (featuring Amp Live and Zion) ha a weird artsy music video, nothign special, it’s a decent remix but just stops right there. “X-Ecutioner Style” (featuring Sean C, Roc Raida and Black Thought) a quite original song with a south park style music video but neither of those aspects make the song or video any good. “H! Vltg3” (featuring Evidence, Pharoahe Monch and DJ Babu).
Just a guy getting tattood does not make a great music video especially with one of the more lackluster remixes. SOme of the music videos do seem a bit cheap and half assed to fill in the quota but overall for basically 20 tracks, half of them ranging from cool to decent is a nice statistic. The remixes they’re a mixed bag, I wouldn’t listen to them over the original ones but they’re neat.
“[Riff Raff] is just a transition track with the sleeping girl beore it leads to Wth>You” (featuring Aceyalone), the music video is like fan edit but in the early 2000s so innovative. The song is a generic remix. We are followed by another intermission with the sleeping lady “Ntr\Mssion” that leads to
“Ppr:Kut” (featuring Cheapshot, Jubacca, Rasco and Planet Asia) which is meh with an outright bad music video. Rnw@y” (featuring Backyard Bangers and Phoenix Orion) at least has a more interesting remix and music video to go along with it..
“My
