Street Fighter 1994 movie got a soundtrack that was both not used and used in the movie which was the style at the time. You don’t see many people talk about this record and well that’s likely for a reason. There’s no real stand out track that you associate with the movie and yet this soundtrack feels like Street Fighter.
While nothing in the soundtrack really feels like it’s from Street Fighter II or any of the games that were out in that era, it actually is oozing more energy of later fighting game entries, like say in the vs SF Capcom games, Street Fighter III or more recent entries. It is hip-hop heavy and lyrics feel like they fit in.. Some songs are original and meant for franchise referencing street fighter, and not all are just name dropping like Ice Cube did, he also throws in other martial artists like Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Brandon Lee which I find funny. It’s also weird to see the explicit songs about Street Fighter being the ones that mention weapons and killing which feels out of line of what they’d let them use on their franchise. If you’re a fan of the genre and Street Fighter it might be worth checking out.
