Layton World Walkthrough: Puzzles A – B – C

Professor Layton’s live online game of “real” puzzles called Layton’s Mystery Journey: Real World Puzzle Solving or Layton World for short launched to help promote Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy is now online. As this is a timed based web based game the puzzles will eventually get lost to time; so here we will have an archive of the puzzles as well as hints and solutions for those stuck in any specific puzzle. The puzzles are not that difficult so I would suggest only looking at the answer if you’re completely stumped. Here we will take a look at Puzzles A – B- C.

Let’s take a look at the eight set of puzzles, for the first 4 click here and just click on archives or use the search for the other ones. Read hints separately and only use the next hint if you still can’t solve it and check your answer by highlighting to read the spoilers. To re-create the Translaytion feature I pasted some of the most useful, interesting or amusing advice found there.

A) Jigsaw Puzzle

To make it confusing, after puzzle z we now re-start the alphabet but in capital letters…I would’ve preferred a2 to make it easier to archive but well that’s what we have to work with. This also means we’re halfway done with the game! For this puzzle we returned to Italy where fellow puzzle solvers helped us get the clues.

Hint 1: The ‘SAME’ block is made by combining two blocks.

Hint 2: The ‘?’ block is made by combining three blocks.

Hint 3: Of the three blocks, the top one is SE. Find the remaining two.

Pizza It is tasty, Teacher!
I am surprised that both methods are the same answer.
It may be an incredible place for this event to be able to international exchange with chat while waiting
Thank you for your photo of the problem!
As usual it was finished with the problem solving, but the feeling that everyone is waiting for a problem has a sense of unity! Thanks to those who posted images (* ‘꒳ `*)

B) Macaroon Mystery

This time we go to twitter for the puzzle to @KanayanOfficial:

Hint 1: First pay attention to the color sequence of the macaroons that woman has.

Hint 2: It looks like the macaroons correspond to the position of the letters.

Hint 3: There’s only one place where the color sequence of the woman’s macaroons matches with the macaroons on the right. Read the letters they correspond with.

There are two types of bonus picatat, time point and ranking point. The ranking point ranges from 1st place to 1000th place. The time point decreases with the elapsed time from the question. (Not from looking at the problem). Incorrect answer penalty is 10% and maximum 20%.

C) Animal Antics

This puzzle takes us south to Birdsville Service Station, Queensland, Australia. When this puzzle went live there was not only no one that could go there but the location also hadn’t received anything therefore there was no puzzle available immediately.

Hint 1: Hunt for animal names.

Hint 2: The blocks and arrows seem to indicate the number of letters of animals and how to read them.

Hint 3: Follow the eight series of blocks and arrows to search for eight animal names. After you remove them, three letters remain.

Professor Layton “Anything is easy, come by international flight to Darwin and borrow rent-a-car and you will arrive here if 2000 kilometers come.”
Everyone extracted a famous animal who knows the English name! I felt the kindness of the staff called ?
So i finally plucked up the courage and phoned the Birdsville Roadhouse and talked to Bronwynne…And i promise to post the pic before trying to solve it myself 😉 Thanks everyone.
Good news – the puzzle has physically arrived in Birdsville and is up for people to see!
