The Problem With Star Wars The Last Jedi and its implications

The problem with..

I have not been a fan of Disney’s Star Wars with their annual releases and their movies but I’m a big Star Wars fan and hoped the sequel trilogy would be great, The Force Awakens didn’t set my world on fire but The Last Jedi doubles down on what made The Force Awakens bad, so here is the problem with The Last Jedi, no spoilers.

I’m sad to say that I didn’t like the film, it makes me wonder if the reviews shill for the brand or they are just that hypnotized the marketing? Best movie since Empire Strikes Back? This could be the weakest movie of them all.

Star Wars Bounty Hunter, the Episode II prequel – Secret Movie

Star Wars Bounty Hunter came out on the Playstation 2 and Gamecube to coincide with Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the game was pretty fun and felt like a new version of Shadows of the Empire. You really took the role of a Bounty Hunter and it felt awesome. It sucks that we never got a sequel. But I’m not here to talk about the game but the story, as this game took place before Episode II and pretty much tells a somewhat important part of the mystery we see in the movie. Only in the game would you not only know how Jango Fett was hired but make sense of some of Count Dooku’s dialog.

It really is a shame that this story was done only in game form since as of now the CG that was “realistic” at the time is now really ugly. Nonetheless, watch the “Bounty Hunter” Star Wars movie here with all the cutscenes stitched together to make a somewhat logical story and solve some mysteries that Attack of the Clones left unresolved.

In the summer of 2000 Star Wars held its first fan film awards and the winner of it was the Star Wars Gangsta Rap. This was before youtube was a thing your battle station needed to have the equipment to play .swf files so you could enjoy this classic from Atom Films. I must’ve watched this hundreds of times, I almost feel bad for my parents. If you’ve never watched it then you owe it to yourself to watch it:

Trying to re-create the original buzz Atom released a “Special Edition” version of the original Star Wars Gangsta Rap in 2004. The audio is exactly the same but the Star Wars Gangsta Rap Special edition featured brand new flash animation and like the real special editions they just aren’t as good as the original. The Flash animation is no longer amateurish looking but completely professional, that actually works against it as that was part of the charm of the original. Then again it could’ve just been that I watched the original so many times anything different just looks odd, go ahead and compare them yourself:

You may be in the mood for a new Star Wars story to watch while waiting for the annual Star Wars movie so why not check out the sequel to The Force Unleashed which you need to see before this “movie”. Like the original this sequel is made from the Playstation 3 and 360 game cutscenes and some gameplay to make the FMV make sense but this being a sequel to a story that seemed to have a definite end,c an it be worth watching?

Secret movie is all about finding more content for you to indulge on when you’re hyped so what do you do when you’ve already exhausted your marathons of the Star Wars episodes? Why not find some new content to watch in this case The Force Unleashed which was a video game that tells the story of a Darth Vader’s secret apprentice in a story set between Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope. What we have here is all the cutscenes put together with some gameplay to make it a “movie” and this was in the PS3 / Xbox 360 era which makes this CG “film” actually tell a decent story which had a sequel.
